A deep and mystical perfume inspired by the scented smoke of the great churches of the 15th Century. The Carner Barcelona Orientals Collection is based on a concept of introducing new perfumes based on key historical events as a way to continue telling an authentic story about Barcelona's past, history and culture. Inspired by these times of opulence, a time when Barcelona was still young, and often influenced by other cultures. Botofumeiro pays homage to the large hanging cistern of the Santiago de Compostela Cathedral in Northwestern Spain. It is believed that the church's scented smoke cleansed travellers and pilgrims of plague and disease. Swinging to great heights, the botofumeiro expelled billows of scented smoke filling the air with a deep and compelling scent.
